So what is a "koohii" anyway ?

It's just a fun and short domain name which can be read as is, and would be pronounced "coo-hee". Most learners of the Japanese language will probably read it as the romaji transcription of the Japanese word for coffee, which would be pronounced "kohh-hee" (a long "o" vowel). So you may read the web site's url as "kanji coffee" if you like :)
